The UCan Project empowers students to make environmental and social impact part of their daily routine. We make a sustainable lifestyle accessible and fun, starting with waste reduction and recycling. Through our program, students raise money for local renewable energy grants for low-income families with every item recycled and each reusable coffee cups sold on campus. 

UCan generates charity funds by partnering with donors who match each pound of material students recycle with a monetary donation to Sustainable Tompkins, a nonprofit that creates renewable energy grants for low-income families. Local  businesses and organizations have the opportunity to choose a donation package based on their desired impact.

Sponsors receive tremendous brand-awareness at a local college campus. We include your logo on our posters, social media promotion, and website. Sponsorship of $1,000 or more earns your company name on our reusable mugs sold on campus. Also, your donation purchases carbon offsets that your organization can use to promote your environmental stewardship. Even more, your donation makes the additional impact of recycling materials at a local college campus where the recycling rate is very low.
